Smart P.H.A. training with fewer workouts
Busy? Pushed for time? Struggling to commit to three cardiovascular (CV) and two resistance training sessions every week? Well, so are a great many other people who are trying to keep fit and healthy. However, limited training time doesn’t mean that your fitness has to take a back seat. I have the solution; a training system that tones up muscles all around the body and gives you a great CV workout – all in one session. By alternating upper & lower body resistance exercises, combined with short bursts of CV activity, your heart rate remains elevated throughout the session; which conditions the heart whilst the resistance exercises tone and strengthen all around the body. The great thing about a P.H.A. outdoor training session with me is that it combines sled work, medicine ball exercises, boxing & other functional exercises!
The weighted sled provides a number of training opportunities for developing many facets of fitness, from performing power walking low level cardiovascular fitness, sprints, to muscular endurance, and strength work. I’m the only trainer in Jersey using the sled for exercise!
Sled P.H.A. training is of particular use to the following groups…
• Athletes of all levels from school to national level and anyone into sports
• Those looking to manage their weight
• Those who dislike the gym environment
• Anyone looking to improve cardiovascular and muscular fitness simultaneously
• People with impact related lower limb injuries who are unable to run (power walking is an excellent alternative to running)
• And anyone wishing to have a break from the normal run of the mill gym-based workouts and have fun when training!
